We got some really well aged cheddar from John’s sister Dorthy & brother in law Joshua. They run the dairy on thier Hutterite Colony just south of Edmonton. Very sharp cheddar so you don’t need much. I found this recipe in a 1987 community church cookbook where I turned it into a spread which we could spread thinly & easily on toast. I would probaby go down to even no sugar and more spices. It turned out pretty sweet but still very yummy. This turns out a little grainy but still a nice consistancy….no shine to this cheese spread. I’ll make it again.
Cheese Spread (use like Cheeze Whiz)
